Trending Colours for Spring & Summer 21/22
Mellow Yellow
Think Lemon meringue pie, Lemon butter, daffodils, sunshine and you’ll get a good feel for the shades of yellow that are trending this spring. We are seeing shades that range from strong to subtle in solid colours and the sweetest of floral prints mixed with fresh whites and hints of green (which fyi – you may find featuring in-store in coming months). “Yellow washes me out” you might say? Why not try wearing it on your bottom half? Or add statement pops to your accessories like bag or hair accessories? Warmer shades of yellow are generally flattering to fairer skin tones while lighter pastel look stunning if on olive to darker skin tones.
Lilac Love
You might have noticed lilac or lavender making a come back last season and not embraced it but this season it's stronger than ever. The difference this season is that the tones are brighter and deeper meaning that it will suit a much broader range of people. If you like your earthy tones, pops of lilac are featuring in prints along side terracotta’s, shades of camel, chocolate and neutrals – the very best of both worlds. Not mention that this blend of colours will be easy to work into your autumn wardrobe. Lilac, purple, mauve, lavender, what ever you want to call it you will be noticing it everywhere this spring!
Be seen in green
This trend is going to please a lot of people! It is the colour that we get asked for most in store and always the quickest to fly out. There are so many shades available you really will be spoilt for choice. We like to stick to shades with a bit more depth because they tend to go with a lot more and are flattering and carry easily into the next season. An exception to this rule though is sage. Sage is an incredibly calming colour, suits most complexions and looks so pretty with so many different colours. You could almost call it a neutral! Our favourite colour to pair green with is pink.
Pretty In Pink
We saw pink throughout each season last year and heading into spring and summer 2021/2022 pink is very still strong. The good thing is that there is literally a shade of pink to suit everyone and no shade on the spectrum is out. Our go to tones are pastels, peachy pinks and blushes but for those who love to make a bold statement, this seasons retro geometrics, bright florals and hot block colours won’t disappoint. Keep an eye out for pretty pink accessories to add a touch of colour and girliness to a neutral outfit. From bright to light, pastels to prints, pink is here to stay.
